Hours of the Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer / Service Technician / Equipment Technician / Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Fitter: 37 Hours per week
08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday
08:00 - 15:30 on Friday
My client, a high profile and well regarded emergency service is looking to employ a skilled
Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer / Service Technician / Equipment Technician / Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Fitter for their busy site in Northampton.
This role is to service and maintain all the frontline equipment and provide the vehicle workshops technical support with vehicle modifications, fabrication and mechanical repairs.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer / Service Technician / Equipment Technician / Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Fitter:
·To be responsible and accountable for ensuring all operational fleet equipment is maintained to the highest standard
·To maintain and sustain all service maintenance records
·Be able to work on Hydraulic systems and petrol engines
·Work along side a small team of specialist Technicians
·To be the competent person in the service for any equipment failures and near misses
·To actively support the workshops with the preparation of new replacement vehicles and carrying out modifications
·Be able to work unsupervised
Requirements of Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer / Service Technician / Equipment Technician / Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Fitter:
·Ideally a Fabrication or welding course or training
·Motor Vehicle studies
·Must be able to work to high standard
·Must have in depth knowledge of the maintenance and repair of Hydraulic equipment
·Ideally have knowledge of looking after safety critical equipment
·Must have in depth knowledge of servicing and repairing small petrol engines
·Category B licence
