HGV Technician
We currently have a vacancy for a HGV Technician to join our busy Haydock Depot.
Shift Options 45 Hour Week
Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm & Basic Salary between = £45,000 Per Annum + Overtime
The HGV Technician Role
·Carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with VOSA procedure and Company policy.
·Test and check that systems and components are safe, secure and working properly.
·Diagnose faults by isolating systems or components that may have caused or potentially cause a problem.
·Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage.
·Gain authorisation to repair or fit parts as required by Company Procedure.
·Maintain efficiency and accuracy while working.
·Test drive vehicles where permitted and correct driving license is held.
·Use Personal Protective Equipment as and when required securing the safety of yourself and all personnel.
·To complete all paperwork required for the task/ job completed and return this documentation to the workshop controller immediately on completion of the inspection/work.
·You will be required to assist other technicians with repairs when required. Along with completing the workshop controller's duties when required.
 
Requirements
The core skills and qualifications required for a HGV Technician are:
·Appropriate technical qualifications.
·Time Served Tech or NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs
·MOT preparation experience
