Basic: £16,000 (Full time available)
Hours: 8:30am-5pm (3 days a week)
Location: Northampton
 
A main dealership is seeking a Health and Safety Co-ordinator to join their team. Ideally you will have experience being a health and safety co-ordinator and have a great working attitude.
 
Responsibilities of a Health and safety co-ordinator
·Maintain accurate records and keep minutes of Health and Safety meetings aswell as fulfilling the role of Fire Officer, Ensuring compliance with fire drill and alarm testing requirements.
·Use the Health and safety system to ensure paperwork and the team training is up to date.
·To ensure accurate and up to date risk assessments have been provided for all working operations, and the members of staff have been trained on the associated risks in their areas.
·Report all accidents and 'near miss' instances in a timely manner to the head of business and any other regulatory authority.
·To conduct Health and safety inductions
·Ensure PPE is issues to relevant staff, and that they are trained in its use.
·Manage maintenance schedules and calibration for workshop and bodyshop equipment.
·Ensure certified checks are carried out on all fixed electrical, gas and portable devices.
·Place any prohibition notices on any unsafe equipment in the workplace and ensure the head of business is aware of any notices.
