Salary: £35k to £40k + Depending on experience  
Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm (Any Saturday work is paid at 1.5 and optional)
Workshop Controller / HGV Technician needed in Edinburgh
 
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller / HGV Technician to take the helm in a commercial vehicle workshop.
 
My client a long standing Haulage company in the Edinburgh who are offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to come in a run all aspect of the workshop from being on the tools to covering parts and paperwork and compliance making sure the fleet is operating at maximum capacity and within the ministry standards.
 
To be considered for this role, you will need previous Workshop Controller / Supervisory experience and be A NVQ or C&G Level 3 Technician and be happy on the tools as to begin with you will be over seeing the workshop individually.
 
You will be solely in charge of a fleet of 10 Scania vehicles to begin with and whilst the fleet grows oversee how the workshop grows with the business including additional workshop personnel.
 
 
Workshop Controller / HGV Technician Main Duties;
·Ensure communication between workshop and office personnel is strong
·Take control the flow through the workshop and keep tracked records
·Ensure the quality of the work is carried out to the required standard
·To ensure workshop targets are met
·Complete invoicing and relevant paperwork
·Responsible for workshop security (unlocking and locking)
 
Workshop Controller / HGV Technician Essentials;
·Previous Workshop Controller / Supervisor experience
·HGV Technician Level 3 qualifications
·Be happy on the tools carrying out all mechanical requirments
·Able to remain calm in high pressured environments
·Strong leadership skills
·Technical and Automotive knowledge
