Hours of the Workshop Controller / Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / Assistant Service Manager:
40 hours a week - you may rotate 06:00 - 15:00pm / 09:00 - 18:00pm

Reporting to: Service Manager

My client a Commercial vehicle dealer are looking for a Workshop Controller / Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Foreman / Assistant Service Manager to join their depot in Cardiff.

The objectives of this Workshop Controller / Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / Assistant Service Manager are to control the flow of work through the workshop to maximize technician utilization and to ensure technicians are working efficiently. Achieving all KPI's as set out by the company and manufacturer whilst providing a high level of customer satisfaction. You will also develop a customer oriented and profitable workshop.

Key Responsibilities of the Workshop Controller / Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / Assistant Service Manager:

·Receive job cards from service reception and allocate work to technician to maximize available resource
·To ensure maximum technician efficiency and ensure correct jobs are allocated to appropriately trained technician
·Labour hours sold against budgeted monthly targets
·To monitor and update workshop loading to maximize sold hours
·Ensure service reception is constantly updated on workshop progress
·Obtain authorization for any additional work either through service reception or by direct contact with the customer
·Quality check job pack in line with audit standards and deliver to admin team in a timely fashion
·Responsible for scanning job cards
·Drive workshop performance to achieve top quartile within manufacturers league tables
·Ensure all job extensions are properly authorized
·Ensure quality control procedures are carried out
·Control KPI Performance in: CSI - MOT pass rate - S24hr attendance times
·Ensure correct completion of VHC process
·Comply with all H&S regulations
·To liaise with the Group Aftersales Training Specialist regarding potential training needs within the workshop

·Achieve operational and financial targets
·Achieve and / or exceed manufacturers targets in:
1.Monthly labour hours sold
2.MOT pass rate
3.Average attendance time
4.Roadside repair conversion
5.Quality Control
