Salary of the Production Manager / Production Line Manager / Assembly Line Manager / Fabrication Manager / Assembly Line Supervisor / Production Line Supervisor: £40,000 starting and upwards - Negotiable DOE

Our local specialist vehicle client are looking for a Production Manager / Production Line Manager / Assembly Line Manager / Fabrication Manager / Assembly Line Supervisor / Production Line Supervisor to join their team due to steady growth.

Working with a number of high profile commercial vehicle customers, the main purpose of the business is to manufacture and assemble a wide range of vehicle modifications onto specialist vehicles, bespoke to customer specifications. They will be dealing with conversions, refurbished and remanufactured vehicles.

Role of the Production Manager / Production Line Manager / Assembly Line Manager / Fabrication Manager / Assembly Line Supervisor / Production Line Supervisor:

·To oversee the sub-assembly and assembly processes for all vehicles, working to production deadlines
·To allocate work amongst the team
·Working closely alongside the Service Manager and Project Manager
·To pro-actively work to address manufacturing issues and improve processes where possible
·To liaise with purchasing to ensure all materials are up to specification and are supplied in a timely manner
·To oversee Line Managers within their sections
·To work with the design team and production engineers to resolve problems within manufacture
·To expedite work where needed and communicate any issues
·To lead, motivate and develop the engineering team

Requirements for the Production Manager / Production Line Manager / Assembly Line Manager / Fabrication Manager / Assembly Line Supervisor / Production Line Supervisor:

·A knowledge of machining / welding and fabrication / fibreglass moulding
·Management experience working in an engineering / production environment
·Good man management skills
·Knowledge of LEAN principles would be a distinct benefit for this role
·An interest or knowledge of vehicle manufacture/assembly or modification would be a benefit
·A people person with a proactive approach to problem solving
·A good communicator
·Ability to work to deadlines
