Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (42 Hours per week)

Salary of the HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
£32,000pa - £35,000pa + overtime

Location:
West Sussex - Mobile role covering Sussex, Hampshire and the surrounding areas

My client, a successful specialist in mobile and workshop based solutions for Plant and Commercial vehicles, are recruiting for an HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic for their business.

Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:

·Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·
Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle or plant and agriculture)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Mobile Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
·Mobile experience is an advantage
