PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic

Working Hours of the PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic : 39 Hours per week
Monday to Friday 6.00am - 2.30pm
OR
5 days over 7
Every other Saturday shift available

Salary: £15.75 per hour (Monday to Friday 6.00am - 2.30pm)
Saturdays : £16.25 per hour
Plus attendance bonus £26
OR
Salary: £17.38 per hour 5 days over 7
Saturdays : £22.25 per hour
Plus attendance bonus £26

Location: Guildford

My client, a successful commercial dealership, are recruiting for an PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic for their Guildford depot.

Key responsibilities for the PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic include:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·
Essential Qualities for the PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic :

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the PSV Technician / PSV Fitter / PSV Mechanic:
·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
