Working Hours of the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter: Weekdays - Monday to Friday 45 hours

Salary of the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter: £37,000 - £40,000pa basic plus Overtime and 1/2 weeks call out.

Location: Dartford

My client, a successful commercial hire company, are recruiting for an Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter for their depot covering Hertfordshire.

Key responsibilities for the Mobile HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter include:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts


Essential Qualities for the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime



Desirable Qualities for the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Fitter:
·Commercial mechanical experience
