Job Role:  - Mechanic
Salary £18000 to £24000
Monday to Friday - (No weekends)
Location - Chesterfield
 
Job Summary
·Carry out general maintenance repairs, servicing and maintenance inspections to a high standard
·Carry out MOT testing to the required standards as specified by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, or willing to train if you are not an MOT Tester
·To achieve high productivity through conscientious improvements on efficiency
·To strive to achieve a high level of morale with all workshop and service staff
Key Activities/Duties
·Service and repair of all types of passenger vehicles to manufacturer's specification. Also check before working on vehicles as to the condition of the vehicle and record as necessary on the repair order
·Diagnose all types of faults and liaise with the Team Leaders and Service Manager regarding additional work required and likely delay in completing work. Also during the course of the job to tick off each item on the repair order as it is completed
·Undertake road tests, following one of the approved test routes
·Testing vehicles both before and after repair
·Qualified Technicians to carry out MOT test in accordance with the MOT Testers Manual
·PDI inspection on new cars and safety checks and pre-delivery servicing/repairs on used cars
