Location of the Plant Fitter
Gloucester
Motivated and Enthusiastic Plant Fitter is required for a thriving workshop. work for the leading heavy plant distributor throughout the South West and Wales.
This is an opportunity for a Plant fitter to really make it their own position in helping to support the company in driving the business forward through supporting the workshop and the service team.
My client needs someone who is driven, with a strong work ethic and has proven experience. In return you will work for a company that looks after its staff, have a fulfilling career with ongoing training and development.

Key responsibilities for the Plant Fitter :

·Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
·Work on HGV's, light commercials and Construction related plant
·MOT prep
·Minor body damage
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·Ability to listen
·welding and hydraulics


Essential Qualities for the Plant Fitter:

·Previous experience in mechanics (2 years minimum in Heavy vehicle, plant and agriculture)
·Strong experience in electrics over hydraulics
·Relationship Builder
·Mechanical Engineering Experience preferred
·Hydraulic Hose/pipe manufacture and installation experience preferred.
·MS Word & Excel
·Ability to follow work processes in detail.
·Full Clean Driving License
·Forklift truck driving experience although not essential
