Job role:HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
 
Salary:£41,769 as a basic salary + overtime and profit related bonus - Yearly earnings in the region of £50,000 - £55,000
 
Shifts and working hours:06:00 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 17:30 Monday - Friday
(No weekend hours to cover unless optional overtime)

Location:Brackley, Northamptonshire

 
 
I am currently working with a well established transport company that maintain their own fleet of vehicles who have a depot based on Brackley, Northamptonshire.
 
This is an opportunity for a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to really make it their own position in helping to support and driving the business forward through supporting the workshop and the service team.
 
My client needs an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter who is driven, with a strong work ethic and has proven experience. In return you will work for a company that looks after its staff, have a fulfilling career with ongoing training and development.
 
The HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter involves:
 
·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
·Regular Truck and Trailer inspections
·Inspections and Preparation for MOT.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager.
 
Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter role:

·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably Heavy Vehicle) e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ   Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Full car driving licence is essential, Class 1 or 2 licence would be beneficial but not essential
·Diagnostic experience
·Knowledge of DVSA legislation
·Must have own tools
