Job Role: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Depot Location: Sheffield
Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role
Financial Package: £17.25 per hour basic rate, overtime at time and a half Monday - Saturday, any hours completed on a Sunday or Bank Holiday will be paid at Double time
Yearly on targeyt earnings of £50,000+
Shift Pattern: Early / Late shift rotation - Monday - Friday
06:00 - 14:30 Week One
14:30 - 22:30 Week Two
My client, a well-established HGV & Trailer maintenance business is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician to work on their Early / Late shift out of their depot in Sheffield.
Working in an established team of HGV Technicians, you will be required to undertake the following;
·Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
·Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
·General Servicing and MOT preparation
·Fault finding & diagnostics
·Updating all required paperwork / databases
The successful HGV Technician will have the following attributes;
·Hold full industry qualifications (L3 City & Guilds or NVQ). Truck maintenance Qualifications would be ideal, however those with either Car or Heavy Plant qualifications will be considered if a strong background in Truck & Trailer maintenance can be proven
·Fault finding & Diagnostic experience
·Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
·A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
