HGV Technician

Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic:
Split Shift: Monday to Friday
Week 1: 6.00am - 2.30pm
Week 2: 1.30pm - 10.00pm, every other Saturday overtime opportunity 6.00am - 2.00pm

Salary – £34K up to £39K

Location - Belvedere

Our client are looking for a Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic for a successful workshop. Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic include:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts


Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime







Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic:

Commercial mechanical experience
