HGV Technician - Day Shift - Kettering - £17-£19ph

Job role: Mobile / Workshop HGV Technician
 
Working Hours: 07:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday
 
Basic salary: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour (£39,780 - £44,640 annually) + overtime and bonus. On target annual earnings in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 per year
 
Location:Islip, Northamptonshire
 
 
My client, a successful commercial vehicle hire company, are recruiting for a Mobile  / Workshop based HGV Technician in Islip to cover their clients fleets across Northamptonshire.
 
Key responsibilities for the Mobile HGV Technician/ Mobile HGV Fitter include:
 
·Diagnose vehicle faults and undertake the required repairs
·Recognise and report vehicle / component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles / components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·Participate in providing standby and call out cover - £45 per day standby and worked hours at time and a half or double time
·Ensure vehicles and plant are maintained in line with the service planner
 
Essential Qualities for the Mobile  / Workshop HGV Technician:
 
·Previous experience in HGV mechanics / Plant engineer experience
·YOU MUST HAVE ROAD SWEEPER EXPERIENCE FOR THIS PARTICULAR ROLE
·Qualification in HGV maintenance and repair e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV, CAT C )
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime/ Flexible with shifts
