HGV Technician

DAY/BACK SHIFT HGV TECHNICIAN
Ambitious HGV Technician required to join an immensely successful workshop, in Carlisle.
£30,420 - £35,000, Overtime available (paid at 1.5, double pay on Sunday's + an extra call out fee)
·Do you want to work for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines?
·Are you confident in your abilities to diagnose and repair HGV's to the highest standard?

Your role will involve carrying out inspections, MOT preparation, diagnostic work and fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes and suspension systems. You will also learn in-house systems and complete paperwork such as job cards and service sheets.

(Back shift every 3rd week)
 Day shift  -  08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday and 15.30 finish one day per week.
Back shift - 13.30 to 22.00 Monday to Friday with a 21.00 finish one day per week.

* £14 - £15 per hour (DOE) *
+ All hours after 39, paid at 1.5
+ Sunday's paid at double time
+ Extra £55 every Saturday and Sunday (if you're on call)

Requirements:
·City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
·Commercial vehicle experience – proven work experience on all makes of heavy commercial vehicles.
·IT literate.
·LGV C + E licence beneficial, not essential.
