Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:30 + Saturday 07:30 - 12:30
Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30
 
You'll be expected to be "on call" during your shift pattern, attending site or roadside vehicles (within a pre-determined area) to provide onsite or roadside assistance
 
 
 
Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic required for workshop in Widnes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Trailer Technician join a thriving workshop and be part of a forward-thinking company that looks after their employees.
The HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Trailer Technician role involves:
·Operating within our workshop on an agreed work/shift pattern based on the company operating centre.
·To maintain vehicle and trailer ancillaries and specialist body applications
·To assist whenever required with maintenance on mobile or fixed plant operated by the Products team.
·Be "on call" during your shift pattern to attend on site vehicles or provide roadside assistance within a pre-determined area.
·Ensuring that associated company maintenance records are retained to the highest level to ensure compliance whether legislative or to company procedures
·Updating system with defect rectification repairs,  
·Effectively communicating repair downtime, estimated repair times and completed repairs to the operations Supervisor and planners as required.
·Keeping up to date with news items and process updates as detailed on the Group intranet  
·Routine maintenance and repairs to the company's fleet of tractor units and trailer ensuring you adhere to DVSA standard of compliance and safety, alongside supporting with routine maintenance of mobile fixed plant asset.  

Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Trailer Technician role:
·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
·HGV licence is an advantage
·Diagnostic experience
·Full UK Driving licence
