Night Shift HGV Technician
 
Salary: Circa £43,500
 
We are a well-established company, specialists in commercial vehicle rental. with fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South of England. From these depots we operate approximately 2000 vehicles (of which 900 are above 3.5 tons).
 
£21.00 per hour
 
O/T £31.50 per hour
 
Monday to Thursday (3 Day Weekend)
 
Working 8:30 pm to 7:00 am (10 paid hours with 30 mins unpaid break)
 
The role of HGV Technician will involve being responsible for carrying out inspection and service routines and repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. The HGV Mechanic will be reporting to the Workshop Manager and will be able to investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers' standards.
 
The following would be useful to have but not essential:
 
HGV Qualifications
Knowledge of cranes or hydraulics
Experience working on tippers, tipper grabs or beaver tails
Knowledge of latest diagnostic systems
Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) HGV License
We are looking for a team player to fill the role of HGV Fitter and someone who will be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. You must have previous HGV technical experience and can adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensure continued high levels of work are carried out right first time. Only motivated, experienced and reliable HGV Technicians should apply.

Contributory pension scheme, effectively immediately
Death in Service pay-out: two times annual salary after 12 months probationary period
