HGV Technician- Caldicot
Salary: £30,000 - £31,200 +Overtime
8 hour Shifts- overtime is available

Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic required for a thriving workshop in Caldicot

This is an opportunity for a technician to really make it their own position in helping to support the company in driving the business forward through supporting the workshop and the service team.

Involves being on call mid-week and alternative weekends

The HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic role involves:


·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager
·Involves being on call mid-week and alternative weekends

Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic role:

·Level 3 or equivalent or Time served  
·HGV technician is essential
·Driving License (required) Class 1 or 2 licence
·Trailer experience
·Diagnostic experience
