Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:30 - Saturday mornings when required on a rota basis

Excellent rates of pay (DOE) on an hourly basis

My client, a successful hire company, are recruiting for an HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer for their Andover depot.

Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·
Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:
·Have at least 6 years experience on all vehicle types
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
