HGV TECHNICIAN

Location of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer: Yeovil

Salary of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer: up to £15.00 per hour (up to £39000.00 pa excluding overtime)

Working hours of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm (plus overtime) 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am - 1pm

Our client are an independent maintenance and repair company, based in Yeovil, are looking for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer to work on a varied fleet after taking on a number of new contracts.

The HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer role involves:

·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards of HGV Tractors, trailers and specialist equipment
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager
·Attending Breakdowns
·Recovery

Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer role:

·Level 3 or time served
·Ability to diagnose faults on a wide range of vehicles
·Willing to work overtime when required
