Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (42 Hours per week)

Salary: £30,000pa - £35,000pa

Location: Petworth

My client, a successful commercial dealership, are recruiting for an HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic for their Kent depot.

Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic include:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·
Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Technician / Diesel Mechanic:
·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
