Location of the HGV Auto Electrician: Preston

Salary of the HGV Auto Electrician:
£13.00ph (DOE) plus overtime at time and half
40 hours at £13.00ph and then 4 hours a week at 1.5 overtime
plus Saturdays available at 1.5

Working hours of the HGV Auto Electrician:
Dayshift, Monday to Friday - 44 hours a week (40 hours at basic rate and then 4 hours at 1.5)
Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:30 and Friday 08:00 - 16.30
Overtime available at time and a half


Motivated and enthusiastic HGV Auto Electrician required for a successful company based in Preston.

This a varied role working on vehicles and a specialist fleet.

We are looking for an HGV Auto Electrician to join a thriving workshop and be part of a forward-thinking company that looks after their employees.

This HGV Auto Electrician role involves:

·Wiring of all associated electrical components on new commercial vehicles.
·To fault find and repair electrical components on new and old vehicles.
·To carry out electrical maintenance and function checks on new and old vehicles
·Attend electrical breakdowns of vehicles when required
·Assist field engineers with technical knowledge when required
·Liaise with the parts department to ensure the correct parts are ordered
·Accurate completion of any job cards, time sheets or any other vehicles documentation
·Ensure that standards are maintained relative to maintenance / cleanliness of vehicles
·Ensuring workload is prioritised and deadlines are met.
·Good housekeeping and H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed.

HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Municipal Technician Requirements:

·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified auto technician (Time served considered too)
·Full Driving licence
