Salary of the Fleet Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Mechanic / Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter: £25,370.00 - £28,907.00 (DOE) plus overtime and call outs

Hours of tehFleet Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Mechanic / Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter: 37 Hours per week
08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday
08:00 - 15:30 on Friday

Breakdown and Fleet support required 24 hours a day on a rota basis 1 in every 4 weeks

My client, a high profile and well regarded emergency service is looking to employ a skilled
Fleet Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Mechanic / Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter for their busy site in Northampton.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Fleet Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Mechanic / Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:

·Maintain specialist Fleet of Vehicles and equipment
·To be responsible and accountable for ensuring all fleet vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standard
·To provide breakdown and fleet support
·Be able to work on Hydraulic systems and petrol engines
·Work along side a small team of specialist Technicians
·To be responsible for updating manual records and for recording electronic data onto fleet management systems
·To be responsible for sourcing and identifying suitable parts
·Be able to work unsupervised


Requirements of VFleet Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Mechanic / Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:

·Should be Qualified to City & Guilds / BTEC Motor Technician / NVQ level 3 or equivalent
·Ideally Welding and Fabrication skills and experience
·Must be able to work to high standard
·Hydraulic knowledge
·Ideally hold a minimum Class C licence
