Driver required in Wiltshire
Salary: £19,000 - £22,000
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00
An exciting opportunity a Car Recovery Driver to join the team. The role involves collecting accident damaged and end-of-life vehicles from body shops, garages and private households as well as delivering vehicles throughout the UK.
Previous recovery experience is desirable (but not essential). You must hold a clean driving license and be comfortable driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle.
The successful candidate must be reliable, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a busy fast-moving environment.
Essential Skills & Qualifications for Driver role:
- Dealing with driver queries
- Coordinating drivers, vehicles and movements on site at Grand Union
- Liaising with Workshop for vehicle services
- Liaising with vehicle swaps regarding traffic flow and movements at peak times
- Ensuring site speed restrictions and rules are enforced
- Quality checking driver vehicles / standards
- Ensuring site traffic flows and pinch points on site are kept clear and remain functional
- Loading and unloading of vehicle transporters and recovery trucks
- Excellent communication skills / Good interpersonal skills
- Good team working skills
- Good general knowledge of vehicles
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach on site
- Driving license
