DEALERSHIP ACCOUNTANT

Basic Salary of the Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant – circa £45,000.00pa plus a Company Car

Working Hours of the Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant - Monday to Friday 37.5 hour week

Location of the Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant - Hertfordshire and Essex Area - covering the branches

Our client is seeking an experienced Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant with a motor industry background. You will be an enthusiastic, ambitious individual, who works well as an individual, as well as in a team. You will have good attention to detail, and great communication skills.

The purpose of the Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant is to ensure appropriate controls are in place and adhered to across the business and sites.

Responsibilities of a Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant:

·Site Visits providing hands on assistance to operational managers
·Reviewing management accounts, forecasts and budgets with operational managers
·Ensuring company policies and processes are adhered to, suggesting and implementing control improvements
·Audit of daily/weekly/monthly controls as recorded on sheets prepared by managers, ensuring appropriate explanations for discrepancies are received
·Assisting with month end processes for all sites across Hertfordshire and Essex
·Perform and reconcile monthly vehicle stock check
·Oversee quarterly parts stock check, ensure all housekeeping actions completed
·Daily banking, daily time / attendance sheets and monthly accounts submissions are accurately prepared by managers
·Cover for the accounting team
·Profit and Loss reconciliation

Skills & Qualifications of a Dealership Accountant / Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller / Vehicle Accountant:

·Accounts experience within a dealership with good Kerridge, Excel and IT skills
·Possess a calm temperament and be able to work as part of a team
·Be able to identify and resolve issues, design and implement processes/controls
·Be able to communicate effectively with and influence colleagues across all departments
·To work accurately and efficiently to meet targets and deadlines
·Strong longevity in your role
