Commercial Vehicle / Trailer Painter

Location: Bredbury

Salary: £28,000 - £30,875 (£11.50 - £12.50)

Monday to Friday 08:00am – 17:00
(Some Saturdays will be required)

Fully skilled Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / HGV Paint Sprayer / HGV Prepper / Commercial Vehicle Prepper / Prepper required to join our successful team at our clients busy Atherton Bodyshop. Fully conversant with all types of prepping and spraying techniques and possess the required skills to prepare and paint Vehicles and Trailers to the highest of standards, ideally hold a full clean driving licence but not essential.

Duties as a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / HGV Paint Sprayer / HGV Prepper / Commercial Vehicle Prepper / Prepper will include:

·Be responsible for and ensure that all pre-defined production and pre-start checks are carried out and that all process paperwork is completed correctly and accurately.
·Prep and paint a variety of LGV and/or HGV, coaches & plant
·Carry out relevant preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment
·Setting up paint application equipment in the paint shop for all possible paint applications in accordance with best practice
·You will have previous experience working as a Prepper.
·You must have previous experience working within a busy bodyshop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation.
·You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of Commercial Vehicle repair techniques.


Requirements as a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / HGV Paint Sprayer / HGV Prepper / Commercial Vehicle Prepper / Prepper will include:

·Experience as a Vehicle Painter, sprayer, prepping and in strip and fit
·Experience working with HGV / LCV / Plant / Coaches is essential
·Effective communicator with good customer service skills
·Experience within a Bodyshop, or Accident Repair Centre
·Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
·Preparing vehicles for painting
·Masking
·Detailing
·Ideally hold a full clean driving licence but not essential.
