COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR / VDA
£27,000 - £30,000
Monday - Friday 07:00 to 17:00.

Some Saturdays will be required

Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator/VDA for their large Accident Repair Centre in Hyde. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV and LCV body work estimator working alongside the Repair Centre Manager.

You will be responsible for building relationships and liaising with insurance companies, suppliers and customers whilst maximising sales opportunities. Highly respected within the industry and numerous contracts and work providers keeps the site very busy.


Responsibilities of a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA:

·Collate estimates on body repairs to accident damaged vehicles using the Audatex computerised estimating system.
·Calculate the time required to complete all necessary repairs and inform the body shop of the authorisation of additional work needed.
·Following completion of the estimates, you will be required to negotiate the repair costs with insurance engineers and provide a breakdown of the repair costs for the customer.

Skills and Qualifications of a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA:

·Strong leadership skills – will be required to stand in for the Depot Manager in their absence
·Good communication and organisational skills
·The ability to work under pressure
·Excellent Problem solving skills
·The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
·Must have previous experience as an Estimator, ideally be ATA qualified and have an up to date Audatex certificate

****In addition to a competitive salary my client will provide****

·Holiday allowance: 20 days plus bank hols, 16 for shift workers / 28 days as they are expected to work BH if they fall on their shift. They do get an enhanced rate too.
