AUTO ELECTRICIAN

Salary of the Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic:
£35,000pa - £37,000pa (£15.76 per hour)

Working Hours of the Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic:
45 hour week 5 days out of 7 on a shift rotation basis

Inverness

Our client is recruiting for an Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic to join their busy team at their Inverness Depot to assist in the maintenance and repair of their fleet of PSV and coaches.

The role is to work within the workshop dealing with repair and service of commercial vehicles in a timely manner and to the highest standards as set by the company and DVSA, it's a busy workshop so plenty of opportunity.

Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic:

·Installing, repairing, wiring, and maintaining of all electrical components found in different vehicles.
·Check what is necessary to bring vehicles up to their best working condition.
·You have to be technically knowledgeable in the use of equipment and machinery to do the job.
·Familiar with how wires work and how they have to be placed in a vehicle.
·Need to know the type of wiring techniques to utilize for the various components they work with.
·Electrical repair and diagnostics on LCV and HGV vehicles
·Must be good at testing equipment and the computers they use in mapping out electrical pathways and locating electronic problems or malfunctions in the system
·PSC Mechanical Skills and PSV Electrical knowledge desirable
·Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults


Required for this Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic
role:

·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
·Qualified Auto Electrician
·Experience working on commercial heavy vehicles
·Full UK Driving Licence
·PCV / HGV licence is an advantage
