Job role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Huntingdon
Annual Salary: £25,000              
 
My client a main car dealerhsip with a nationwide coverage is actively looking to recruit and experienced Accounts Assistant at their UK head office in Huntingdon.
 
Purpose of the role

The role as an accounts assistant will be the primary point of contact for purchase ledger and credit control. You will have responsible for the entire end to end process.
 
Duties and responsibilities of a accounts assistant
 
·Matching, batching and coding of a high volume and value of invoices
·Ensure supplier statement reconciliation's are being performed and ensure integrity of profit and loss balances
·Resolving all invoice / order queries within a tight time frame
·Responsible for invoicing and collection of all revenue
·Resolving all invoice / order queries for customers within a tight time frame
·Daily cash book
·Assisting with month end accounting
·Preparation of payments
·Other general duties and requested
 

Essential Skills for an accounts assistant
 
·Proven purchase ledger experience
·Proven credit control experience
·Confident with excel to intermediate level
·High level of accuracy and attention to detail
·Well organised and dependable
·Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
·Presentable and able to conduct themselves in a professional manner
 
Desirable Skills for an accounts assistant
 
·Good knowledge of double entry book keeping
·Experience of accounting packages, preferably Access Dimensions
