About the Workshop Supervisor Role

My client, a well-established and successful commercial vehicle bodywork repairer,are looking to employ a Workshop Supervisor for their depot in Avonmouth due to continued growth.

This is a new job role that has been created to assist our workshop manager and provide additional support to our management team.

Some Key features of the Workshop Supervisor:

·Remuneration in the region of £28000.00
·The ability to earn a monthly performance bonus based on the number of productive hours sold and passed through the workshop per month. A rough guideline could be from £700.00 upwards
·28 days holiday per annum including bank holidays
·Ability to join a company pension scheme
·Training and assistance will be provided by senior management

What will the Workshop Supervisor be accountable for?

·Assisting in the running and organisation our workshops, notably the throughput of damaged vehicles and trailers in our fast-paced body shop
·Helping to manage approximately 25 workshop employees
·Maintaining high standards of repair throughout the repair process and before vehicles are returned to customers QC
·Liaising with workshop staff that they have the correct parts and materials to complete a job
·Monitoring and boosting productivity
·Understanding our clients needs and expectations and being able to meet and hopefully surpass them

Job requirements for the Workshop Supervisor:

·Good working knowledge of the commercial vehicle repair industry and repair processes
·Excellent man-management skills including the ability to provide professional, clear and precise instructions to workshop personnel and other colleagues
·Familiar with routine office processes
·Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
·IT literate preferably the knowledge of using the Audatex estimating system

Please note that whilst my client would prefer someone with previous management / workshop supervisor experience, they would be willing to consider candidates who have good industry knowledge and believe they can make the transition to management.
