WORKSHOP MANAGER
Workshop Manager required for our client based in Leeds.

Basic Salary £23,000pa - £25,000pa plus BONUS & OTE £30,000pa

·Are you a great communicator and good at multitasking?
·Do you have experience of managing a team of vehicle technicians / mechanics?
·Do you have strong automotive background, including parts?

Our client is seeking a Workshop Manager who understands the demands and the ability to meet the high standards that this position brings. You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate Vehicle Technicians. For this Workshop Manager roll, you will also need a strong LCV background and supervisor experience.

You will liaise daily with the Service Department and be on hand to answer any queries from other departments. Along side shadowing the current Workshop Manager/Controller for 1 year before they retire. The role will involve ensuring all incoming work is planned as well as managing the time and resource of your team. Workshop Manager assign technicians to tasks ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to. You are responsible for performance management, coaching and development of the team. Quality checking, ordering of parts, audits and compliance with all health and safety regulations.

The Workshop Manager must have strong technical knowledge, be computer literate and be able to work efficiently under pressure ensuring customers cars are completed within agreed time scales. The right candidate for this role will be a motivational team player as well as leader, a time conscious individual and an over achiever.

Working Hours Monday - Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm. Saturdays (1 in 2) 8:00am - 12:30pm

Skills & Qualifications of a Workshop Manager:

·Must have evidential proof that you are able to run a productive workshop
·Experience of managing a team of Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics
·Strong LCV background
·2 years supervisor experience is essential
·Must be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
·Must have a CAN-DO attitude with the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
·Strong communication is ESSENTIAL - you are the central person who service, parts and technicians will report too and therefore must be able to give quick solutions to any issues
