Shifts:
Monday – Friday 06:00 - 14:00
Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00 (if working the Saturday, you work 14:00 – 20:00 on the Friday)
Saturday 06:00 – 13:00 (Paid at overtime rate)


My client has a long history in road transport and since the early 1980s have specialised in providing key services to fleet owners and operators. This background ensures full appreciation of the requirements of commercial clients: reliability, integrity and total competence.

Due to retirement, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a HGV Technician to join my client as a Trainee Workshop Foreman. You will be working and training alongside the present workshop foreman for the first 4 months approximately and this will lead to a Workshop Foreman position
(Salary increases to £36,000 - £40,000). The role is a hands on role and will be a 50 - 50 split. You will also benifit from a company van at this point.

Duties include:

·Responsible for all day to day running of a busy commercial vehicle workshop
·Ensuring that deadlines are met while maintaining quality
·Welfare of our staff while on duty
·Conduct return to work meetings with the officers
·Rostering and allocations review and monitoring of monthly schedule
·Ensuring all staff are compliant to work with Risk assessments and induction paper work signed and filed
·Client liaison when required
·Carry out tasks delegated by Management
·Training will be provided

Essential for this HGV Foreman's role

·Level 3 or equivalent
·Class 1 licence (Class 2 would be considered)
·Previous supervisory experience is essential
·Own tools
