Workshop Foreman - Monday to Friday - Alternative Shifts Earlies and Lates
Salary - £18.14p/h (Company Van Included)
 
I am looking for an experienced Workshop foreman for one of my Commercial Vehicle clients in the Edinburgh Area you will require previous experience in a foreman role as you will be at the helm of a busy Commercial Vehicle Workshop with experienced Technicians

·Maintenance and repair of waste collection vehicles to meet current legislations, health & safety and DVSA standards.
·Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across all sections of OHSAS18001 accredited workshop.
·Carry out scheduled inspections and services to ensure compliance with the company's operator license and DVSA regulations.
·Complete service and repair documentation and any other maintenance documentation in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
·Repair and maintenance of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
·Fault diagnosis and rectification of defects including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical.
·A chance to provide leadership, deliver work instructions and monitor the performance of the fleet.
·Play an integral role in supporting the management of on-going cost control, actively seeking to improve efficiency to reduce operating costs and increase profitability to support the meeting of and exceeding of budgets.
·Be trusted to ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are strictly adhered to, near miss reporting and emergency procedures.
·An expectation to ensure compliance with transport and environmental legislation is adhered to.
·An expectation to complete all administrative tasks associated with the role
Here's what we require:
·Fully skilled having achieved a full level 3 HGV apprentice qualification/City and Guilds Qualification/NVQ Qualification.
·Technician level.
·Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
·HGV licence desirable
·IRTEC Qualification desirable.
·Experience with the vehicles used within the waste industry would be a distinct advantage.
·Experienced in hydraulic and electrical systems.
·Welding experience preferred but not essential.
