Workshop Controller (Automotive)
Basic salary up to £23,000pa
£23,000pa with OTE / Bonus up to £34,000pa
Location: East London

Are you an experienced Workshop Controller who enjoys working in a car dealership?

Do you have experience as Senior Vehicle Technician or Master Technician that is looking to make the jump into a Workshop Controller position?

We are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller for a key role within a dealership based in East London. You will be responsible facilitating and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of excellent customer service and site profitability by motivating, supporting and managing their team to deliver a quality repair.

The successful candidate will deliver exceptional market-leading customer service by actively managing the delivery of a first-class customer service journey. This will be achieved by proactive control of the customer experience, from initial booking in to the final return of the vehicle.

Your duties will include:

·Deliver financial results in line with agreed budgeted requirements
·Organising and managing workload for a large workshop, and manage job cards for Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics
·As the Workshop Controller you will need to monitor progress information of each job allocated & liaise with Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics to ensure customers are kept informed
·Manage site resources and costs in order to optimise capability and profitability
·Actively and effectively manage work provider and supplier relationships
·Manage compliance to all company processes as well as current Health & Safety
·Ensure all applicable warranty paperwork is administered by and dealt with by the appropriate department
·Deliver structured individual performance management processes
·Pass on all documentation for completed work to Tester & organise any extra work if necessary
·Monitor progress information of each job allocated & liaise with Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics to ensure customers are kept informed

Ideal candidates will have:

·You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate people and manage the day to day tasks
·Experience managing bookings, dealing with customers, creating invoices, handling customer payments
·Main Dealer or Large independent garage experience is desirable
·Senior Service Advisor / Master Technician within the automotive industry would be considered
·Experience of managing Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics
·Must be able to implement new ideas and increase performance enhancement
·Experience with delivery of proactive performance management
·An amazing attitude and flexible in approach
·Good communicator
·Ability meeting deadlines
·Good man management skills
