Shift Pattern

Monday – Friday 07.30 - 17.00
Alternate Saturday’s 08.00 - 12.00


My client is one of the most respected names in commercial vehicles anywhere in the UK.

They have a rock-solid reputation for looking after customers that stretches back more than 40 years. With roots as an independent service outlet and with seven dealerships right across the north, west to east, they are now one of the largest independent commercial vehicle dealer groups anywhere in Europe.


The role of the Workshop Controller:

·Run a busy workshop:
·Including issuing jobs to technicians
·Organising workload with service reception
·Ensuring on time delivery of work promised to customer
·Continuous improvement of technician efficiencies & maintain high productivity
·Completing paperwork to ensure efficient and timely process of all job cards & inspection sheets
·Liaising with all customers & provide technical assistance where possible

The successful Workshop Controller will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

·Obtained a City & Guilds or other adequate qualification
·Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles;
·Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail;
·Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data
·Full and current UK driving licence, an HGV licence is essential;
·A friendly, confident and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
·Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a larger team as well as on their own initiative
·Previous experience of running a commercial workshop
