My client hires both general and municipal vehicles and now has a nationwide fleet of 5,000 and a product range of over 80 various vehicle types and sizes.

They are looking for an experienced Workshop Administrator to join their extremely busy site in Manchester.

The Workshop Administrator role involves:

·Handing out work to Vehicle Technicians to ensure smooth running of the workshop.
·Liaise with all departments, suppliers, depots and to be on hand to answer any queries.
·Support in the planning and allocating of work to ensure that productivity is maximised.
·To distribute and control the issue of work to the Technicians to maximise quality and overall efficiency.
·Provide mechanical repair times and gaining customer authorisation.
·To ensure a strong relationship is maintained with the parts department to maximise parts availability.
·To ensure a strong relationship is maintained with the Admin department to minimise vehicle down time.
·Ensuring the vehicles are ready for delivery the day before they are due to leave the site, overcoming any obstacles through liaison with appropriate areas within the business
·To ensure the accurate completion of all relevant documentation for each repair and handed over to the Administration Team.
·To ensure that the manufacturer’s warranty standards are adhered to at all times.
·Checking for open campaigns/recalls.

Essential for the Workshop Administrator:

·Experience working within a workshop environment
·Have good mechanical awareness or understanding of cars and parts
·Have outstanding administration, typing and data-input skills.
·Have high levels of attention to detail
·Be able to comply with all company and manufacturer’s disciplines and procedures
