VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Vehicle Technician required for an Independent Garage based in Glasgow

Basic Salary: £20,0000pa - £26,000 plus BONUS/OTE £30,000pa

Our client, a highly reputable independent garage is seeking an adaptable and punctual vehicle technician to join their growing team based in Glasgow.

As an experienced vehicle technician, you will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and repairs of vehicles, carrying out routine servicing and diagnostic checks, warranty repairs, PDI Checks, fault finding issues and issuing maintenance checks according to franchise guidelines. Also working to agreed time scales and completing relevant vehicle records, all whilst ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained.

Our client is looking for a technician who can service vehicles quickly and effectively. Experience as a service technician is key - dealing with tyre replacement, clutches, brakes, suspension, servicing, oil changes and MOT repair work. Due to the wide range of vehicles (including light vans / transits) which are repaired in the company, experience within a multi-franchise dealership / independent garage working on a range of vehicles would be an advantage.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm / 1 in 2 Saturdays on rota

Essential Skills & Qualifications for Vehicle Technician role:

·Level 2 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair
·4 years minimum experience within an automotive workshop environment
·Main Dealership / Large independent experience
·Ability to work as part of a team
·Have a genuine commitment to delivering first-class customer service
·Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding
