Trailer Technician - Days
Salary: £31,200pa - £33,800pa depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 to 18:00

Trailer Technician - Nights
Salary: £39,000pa
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 18:00 - 06:30


A Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician is required for a thriving workshop in Skelmersdale.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician wanting to make the most of their position in order to succeed and progress within one of Europe's largest trailer companies.

Responsibilities of a Trailer Technician / HGV Technician / Technician:

·Carry out Trailer inspections/MOT preparations to approved industry standard.
·Carry out repairs to trailers as required to standard.
·Tail lift & double deck LOLER inspections and repairs where required.
·Welding/fabrication work.
·General housekeeping within the workshop.
·Demonstrate an ability to work with and assist other staff members as part of a team.
·All jobs cards and relevant paperwork correctly filled out.
·Diagnostic and repair of ABS/EBS systems
·Good knowledge of electrical wiring systems.

Skills and Qualifications of a Trailer Technician /HGV Technician / Technician:

·City & Guilds/NVQ level 2 qualification or IRTEC certificated.
·Minimum of 5 years previous experience within the industry.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Previous experience with Tail lift & Double deck preferable.
·Previous electrical diagnostic experience preferable.
·Must hold a valid driving licence
