Main areas of responsibility for the Workshop Controller / Shift Supervisor / HGV Foreman / HGV Supervisor:
·All job cards to be pre-timed and advised to the fitter prior to starting each job.
·Upon completion of job, supervisors must check hours booked against time allowed. It is your responsibility to ensure all time booked is accounted for to maximise revenue; any shortfalls must be justified.
·Work towards achieving 95% productivity on every job.
·Prioritise and organise work patterns to clear oldest jobs first, keeping any backlog to a minimum.
·Constantly monitor fitter performance on jobs, complete job card write ups as you go so job change over time is kept to a minimum.
·Ensure service vans are kept clean and tidy and weekly stock checks are carried out.
·Ensure warranty and R & M financial authority limits are observed.
·
Responsibilities of the Workshop Controller / Shift Supervisor / HGV Foreman / HGV Supervisor:
·Anticipate and plan parts requirements.
·Help plan, monitor, and distribute workload.
·Check progress on the work you have issued.
·Ensure breakdown jobs are attended promptly; the fitter should be on route within 15 minutes, and that DAF Aid procedures are followed.
·Ensure consumables are booked and accounted for.
·Ensure quality control is of a high standard.
·Assist Service Manager to organise work rotas.
·To observe Health & Safety regulations always.
·Report any staff issues to the Service Manager and maintain and record sickness and holiday absence.
·Any other duties commensurate with the level of this post, which will be discussed with you.

Essential for the Workshop Controller / Shift Supervisor / HGV Foreman / HGV Supervisor
·You must be a qualified HGV Technician
·You must have previous supervisor experience
·Main dealer experience would be an advantage
·Class 1 or 2 would be an advantage
