My client is a large independent commercial vehicle maintenance provider in the North West for all makes and types of commercial vehicles and LCVs.

They have a reputation for quality and a 97% first time MOT pass-rate (above national average)

They are now looking to recruit a Service Manager to join their Haydock depot.

The Service Manager role involves:

·Plan the daily workload of the workshop, office & drivers to ensure customer requirements are met and update schedules
·Liaise with customers (External & Internal) regarding service schedules, updates, authorities and completion of work
·Raise job cards, estimates & invoices as required and update status of jobs on Trace in an accurate and timely fashion
·Ensure that the parts are available for the job at the correct time
·Process purchase orders accurately
·Maintain discipline in the whole site
·Monitor job times on Trace for each fitter against each job worked on
·Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a proper fashion
·Ensure all Health & Safety arrangements are in place
·Promote Health and Safety within the depot
·Attend management meetings
·Report on the KPI’s and progress to the Operations Manager
·Sanction all holidays ensuring the policy is adhered to
·Undertake any reasonable duty specified by the Operations Manager & Company Directors.

The Service Manager:

·Previous Managerial experience
·Workshop knowledge
·Ideally have done some work on the tools in a commercial environment
·They will also need to have strong administration skills.
