Service Controller
Do you have the right skills, experience and 'be the best' attitude to join our team?
We are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic individual with previous experience in a similar automotive role. You must be prepared to go above and beyond for a customer in a quick paced environment
The main duties will include:
·Supervising the flow of work for the Blackburn service team into the workshop and allocating work as required making sure required customer deadlines are met.
·Keeping customers fully and regularly informed of any changes to costs and expected completion times/dates.
·Ensuring that job extensions are properly authorised and processed.
·Ensuring that vehicles are properly handed over to customers, including invoice explanation and advising future requirements.
·Taking responsibility for sub contracted repairs and ensure the quality of such.
·Ensuring that the authorisation of warranty and goodwill is given strictly in accordance with the manufacturers programme.
·Carrying out regular performance assessments of team members, monitoring and enforcing time control of team members.
Essential Criteria
·Practical experience in an After Sales environment
·Knowledge of the function of all vehicle controls and systems for each model.
·Ability to recognise and name all major components, their approximate location and function.
·Ability to carry out basic fault diagnosis based on customer description, vehicle inspection or road test.
·Ability to estimate accurately times for diagnosis and repair.
·Ability to determine condition of safety related parts i.e. tyres, brake pads, and wiper blades.
·Basic computer skills
·Hard working with the ability to work under pressure

·Full UK Driving Licence
