Parts Manager Heathrow

I am currently looking to recruit a parts manager for a busy dealership in Heathrow the successful candidate will receive a good basic salary plus bonus and company vehicle.


Objectives

·Deliver an outstanding parts service to all customers, both internal and external
·Achieve and strive to exceed all targets and parts sales objectives through a well-developed and motivated parts team
·Achieve a significant market share, through maximum sales of parts to trade and retail outlets and other departments
·Maintain agreed profit margins and return on investment
·Help Dealership to achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency
·Ensure departmental compliance with company policies and industry guidelines

Key Tasks

Objective: Deliver an outstanding parts service to all customers, both internal and external
·Ensure all queries and requests are dealt with promptly.
·Monitor customer satisfaction measures and develop customer service initiatives to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
·Examine all major transactions weekly to determine how customer service may be improved, ensuring customer records are maintained and that CRM records are up-to-date and effective.
·Ensure the effective use of predictive parts ordering to ensure excellent customer service.
·Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolve complaints with sensitivity and involve others when needed.


Objective: Achieve and strive to exceed all targets and parts objectives through a well-developed and motivated parts team
·Ensure adequate staffing to achieve departmental objectives.
·Ensure all parts staff have full knowledge of vehicles, accessories, exchange units and superseded parts.
·Explain job expectations and procedures to all new team members so they understand their duties.
·Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and monitor their progress to ensure that work is completed as directed, taking the necessary corrective action where performance shortfalls occur.
·Provide advice, coaching and assistance to team members.
·Establish training requirements and costs to provide satisfactory levels of skill and job satisfaction.

Objective: Achieve a significant market share, through maximum sales of parts to trade and retail outlets and other departments
·Monitor activity in the local market, including competitors.
·Plan, initiate and promote parts sales events to improve sales and ensure accessory displays reflect these.
·Contribute to the overall marketing plan.
·Develop ongoing strategies to increase business in accordance with Growth Plan.
·Maintain effective liaison with all other department managers to forecast, review and revise business plans and assess monthly sales and profit performance to determine where improvements can be made.

Objective: Maintain agreed profit margins and return on investment
·Agree discounts in line with company policy.
·Ensure the Parts department achieves budget objectives by monitoring financial expenditure, operating controls and composite figures.
·Achieve profit objectives within the specific time frame to ensure a budgeted return on investment.
·Monitor customer credit facilities and ensure that Parts credit accounts are settled according to company policy.
·Ensure adequate controls are in place to control stock holding and maximise stock turn.
·Ensure that actual inventory agrees with computerised inventory, coinciding inventory purchases with sales and special initiatives to take advantage of savings.

Objective: Help Dealership to achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency
·Continually monitor departmental processes to identify areas for improvement.
·Ensure correct understanding and departmental usage of computerised systems.
·Develop and maintain good communication processes to ensure strong working relationships with all Dealership personnel.

Objective: Ensure departmental compliance with company policies and industry guidelines
·Ensure all health and safety and internal safety procedures are followed.
·Ensure the correct recycling of all disposed and damaged items in line with environmental regulations.
·Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly, complying with company policy.
·Operate within company policy at all times and follow franchise operating standards.
·Operate within the law at all times.
·Maintain contact with manufacturers, suppliers, and statutory representatives.

Experience
·Parts management and marketing experience within the commercial vehicle motor industry
·Proven track record in managing people and systems
·Proven track record of working with figures
·Knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices
·Clean driving licence
·Computer skills, including experience of operating word processing and database packages, email and internet
