£30,000 + overtime + Bonus Scheme

My client, a successful specialist in Excavation and plant are recruiting for an Mobile Plant Fitter for their business.

The role will be working on diggers, dumpers and small hand tool related plant so someone with HGV and plant experience would be ideal

Key responsibilities for the Mobile Plant Fitter :

·Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
·Work on HGV's, light commercials and Construction related plant
·MOT prep
·Minor body damage
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·Leave and attend breakdowns at short notice
·Ability to listen
·welding and hydraulics
·on-call rota system providing after hours cover to a large customer base


Essential Qualities for the Mobile Plant Fitter:

·Previous experience in mechanics (2 years minimum in Heavy vehicle, plant and agriculture)
·Strong experience in electrics over hydraulics
·Ability to leave and attend a breakdown at short notice
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime
·Own tools
