My client provides commercial vehicle sales and leasing across the United Kingdom, with a rental fleet of over 800 vehicles and a crane fleet of over 150. Our crane fleet consists of predominantly Cormach and Palfinger Cranes, as well as PM, Fassi and Hiab.


Experienced Mobile Crane Engineer / Mobile Crane fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer / Service Engineer / Heavy Plant Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer / Hydraulic fitter with at least 5 years’ worth of experience of maintaining and repairing mounted loader cranes or similar products to join our Crane Servicing Team

The Role of the Mobile Crane Engineer / Mobile Crane fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer / Service Engineer / Heavy Plant Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer / Hydraulic fitter:

Reporting to our Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of our national rental fleet of over 150 lorry mounted crane vehicles.
Specialist crane servicing and maintenance training will be provided to suitably qualified hydraulic engineers.


The Mobile Crane Engineer / Mobile Crane fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer / Service Engineer / Heavy Plant Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer / Hydraulic fitter will:

• Be technically qualified to ALLMI standards with at least 5 years’ experience
• Have a strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Be experienced with working with crane related software
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work with and manage, small focused project teams across the UK
• Have a clean driving licence
• Be commercially aware with ability to manage and work to budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes
• Have previous experience working at one of the crane manufacturers
• Be able to speak Italian

The ideal Mobile Crane Engineer / Mobile Crane fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer / Service Engineer / Heavy Plant Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer / Hydraulic fitter will have:


• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
• A flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given
• The ability to act as first point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties, building client relationships and helping to identify business opportunities
• A flexible approach to work location
• Be highly motivated with a desire to grow within the company
