Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer:
Nightshift 40 hours a week (working until 6am)


Salary of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: £16.00 ph basic and then a nightshift premium added on top + overtime + attendance bonus

Location of the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: Heathrow

My client, a successful commercial dealership, are recruiting for an HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer for their Heathrow depot.

Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer include:

·Test vehicles and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·
Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Light Commercial Technician / Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Engineer:

·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
