HGV TECHNICIAN

Location: Boston
Salary: £26,000pa up to £36,000pa (Shift/skills/experience dependant) + OTE

Shift week 1:
Monday to Friday (Currently)  08:00AM – 18:00PM
Saturday  08:00AM - 14:00PM
or
Monday to Friday (Planned) 06:00AM - 14:00PM

Shift week 2:
Monday to Friday  14:00PM – 22:00PM
Saturday 06:00AM - 12:00PM

My client is the UK’s largest independent building and block paving manufacturer with nine manufacturing plants around the country. They supply a comprehensive range of over 1000 concrete products for House Building, Commercial and Industrial construction in both the public and private sectors

The HGV technician role involves:

·Repairing company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.
·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.
·Diagnosis of vehicles using computer based diagnostic equipment.
·Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication work.
·Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
·Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
·To communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

Required for this HGV Technician role:

·Level 3 or equivalent  
·Class 1 or 2 licence
·Trailer experience
·Diagnostic experience
