HGV Technician

Our client due to expansion is recruiting a number of positions for a HGV Technician to join their workforce in Cheltenham.

The position is for an experienced HGV Technician responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.

You must be a fully qualified HGV Technician with either City & Guilds, IRTEC or NVQ qualification and own tools.

The ideal HGV Technician will have a Class 1 or 2 licence and have main dealer experience.

Particulars of responsibility of the HGV Technician:

1. Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
2. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
3. Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer's premises
4. Liaise with parts department to attain parts
5. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
6. Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
7. Ensure precaution is taken on premises and all vehicles worked upon are handles carefully
8. Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to
9. Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
