HGV Technician


Location of the HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic: South Downs / West Sussex

Salary of the HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic: £31,500.00 Basic PA DOE (Plus overtime at time and a half) - £15.00 per hour plus overtime (negotiable for a higher rate for the right candidate)

Working hours of the HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic:
(40 hours a week) various shifts, plus alternate Saturdays


Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic required for a successful main dealer in the South Downs West Sussex area

This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join a new workshop and be part of a forward-thinking company that looks after their employees.

The HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic role involves:

·Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
·Diagnosing of vehicles diagnostic equipment
·Good housekeeping and H&S requirements
·Ensure all paperwork is completed
·To complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers time schedules.
·Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
·Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
·Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
·To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
·Document the results of diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.


Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mechanic / PSV Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic role:

·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
·HGV licence is an advantage
·Diagnostic experience a benefit
·Any MOT Testing experience would be a benefit
