Working Hours of the HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (42 Hours per week) workshop based

Salary of the HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
£32,000pa - £35,000pa + overtime

Location:
Guildford area - around the South Downs National Park

My client, a successful specialist in mobile and workshop based solutions for Plant and Commercial vehicles, are recruiting for an HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic for their business.

Key responsibilities for the HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:

·Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·This role does require working alone

Essential Qualities for the HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:

·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle or plant and agriculture)
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Literacy and numeracy skills
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime


Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / Plant Fitter / Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic:
·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
